OUT THERE - the organisation behind AbseilUK - was founded by Frank Hill and Lynn Cotterill way back in 1992. Originally it was a windsurfing and kayak school, supplying watersports equipment. The retail side of the company moved to Loggerheads in 1998 with more of a trend towards the walking and climbing market. In 2001, we branched out into the abseiling side (and got married too!). We are members of the Institute of Outdoor Learning, Welsh Tourist Board and North Wales Tourism. The Team's members are:
Frank Hill
Frank is a well-known character in the outdoor world, having travelled extensively around the globe on various outdoor sporting activities. He is an accomplished instructor in many disciplines, Paragliding, Kayaking, Climbing, Windsurfing and Motorcycle training, and has competed at high levels in many of the disciplines mentioned. |
Lynn Hill

Lynn is a well accomplished outdoor enthusiast and has accompanied Frank on many of the jaunts. She is a Climber and Paraglider pilot, and sometimes if it's warm weather, can be cajoled onto a board or a kayak. |

Tony

Tony has almost ten years experience as a qualified instructor.
He has travelled extensively and is an all round out door action man who is
determined to climb, walk, sail, ski and paddle his way around anywhere he
hasn't already. An all round nice guy, Tony has a way of making you feel at
ease with your equipment and surroundings. He says he is, 'not the poser he
looks like in the pictures' and he always ensures you return safely, with a
big smile on your face.

Boris
Boris (Boggy) is our shop mascot. He's totally nuts. A Welsh border collie he spends most of his day chasing birds and shadows and entertaining the customers.
